Cross-source point cloud registration: Challenges, progress and prospects

The emerging topic of cross-source point cloud (CSPC) registration has attracted increasing attention with the fast development background 3D sensor technologies. Different from conventional same-source clouds that focus on data same kind (e.g., Kinect), CSPCs come different kinds sensors Kinect and LiDAR). CSPC generalizes requirement acquisition to sources, which leads generalized applications combines advantages multiple sensors. In this paper, we provide a systematic review registration.
